Johanna Motz M.S., CCC-SLP
Johanna has worked as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist since receiving her Master of Science degree in 1997 from James Madison University. She has worked in both private clinics, the public school system, and the hospital setting, including the NICU, PICU, CICU (cardiac ICU), and related step-down units, and has also worked as a Research Assistant through Abbott Nutrition International supporting a team of faculty working internationally to train physicians on the diagnosis and management of feeding disorders in children.
Johanna has experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies (MBSS), feeding/swallowing diagnosis and management, Neonatal Oral Motor Assessment Scale (NOMAS), tracheostomies and Passy-Muir Valves, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Pet-assisted therapy, Early Language development, Articulation, various developmental and acquired disorders impacting Speech/Language/Feeding, and the public-school IEP process. She has PROMPT training, Early Intervention Certification, and is working toward becoming a Certified Autism Specialist.
Johanna is dedicated to helping the “whole child” and family get the best start possible during some of the most crucial developmental years of their life.
