PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Albemarle Therapy Center is looking for Occupational Therapists to work in Early Intervention and/or in the Charlottesville and Waynesboro clinics. Albemarle Therapy Center works with the Infant and Toddler Connections of: Augusta/Highlands, The Blue Ridge and Staunton/Waynesboro. Early Intervention provides direct services to infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays and their families.
This is a long-term contract position for experienced Occupational Therapists. Albemarle Therapy Center will consider hiring new Occupational Therapy graduates with a strong interest in pediatric practice. Supervision, salary and benefits will be considered. We have caseloads to start full or part time.
An applicant must be a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association; or is eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
An applicant must be a highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Current infant and child CPR certification, criminal history, CPS and sexual offender's registry check required. TB test must be in accordance with state regulations. Must be able to communicate orally in person, by telephone, and in writing with families and staff. Must possess the skills and ability to use equipment necessary to carry out job responsibilities (e.g. computer, telephone, and facsimile machine). For Early Intervention, the therapist must be able to travel independently by car, attend meetings off-site, and perform home visits.
