At Albemarle Therapy Center our goal is for physical therapy to be fun, and not only develop gross motor skills, but also allow children to develop their imaginations to see what is possible! Having a fun environment of suspended swings, a large slide, and trampolines - to mention a few interventions in our gross motor gym - creates motivation! This helps children look forward to their sessions while not realizing how hard they are working!

Pediatric PTs help children with their range of motion, strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and movement patterns so they can do the activities which are important to them and their families. Gross motor coordination incorporates all of these skills, and that’s what PT treatment centers on. Pediatric physical therapists love seeing children be able to use gross motor skills to engage in games, play with other children, develop mobility, safely and effectively explore their environment, and of course to play!
